Forgiveness in Architecture

Experts from the book – a Prelude by Sri Viragyarativijay Ji In today’s fiercely competitive era, forgiveness is becoming essential for humans to stay healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Various psychosomatic and somatic-psychic illnesses can be alleviated through forgiveness, which has been substantiated by Medical Science. However, no practice has been undertaken to explore how the environment we live in,—can help us stay and acquire forgiveness.

Shri Mayank Barjatya presents this research as a significant gift to humanity in this century through his book “Forgiveness in Architecture”.

Three specific features stood out to me.

  • The book discusses forgiveness not only from a mental and spiritual perspective but also from a physical aspect.
  • Detailed information is provided on aspects related to forgiveness such as shapes, symbols, substances, physical elements, colors, sound, actions, spatial organization, and architecture.
  • A global conception of forgiveness is presented. Descriptions of forgiveness sites in various religions and communities around the world have also been presented here along with past and present-day case studies.

Shri Mayankji has also presented a model of the forgiveness temple. This model is based on architecture, sacred geometry, and morphology. The temple includes areas for contemplation, renunciation, penance, and repentance to reach the state of forgiveness. This book is written in the special emotional spectrum of forgiveness, compassion, and love . Therefore, it is believed that this book will also affect the emotional world of readers along with the author. Forgiveness is the holiest emotion of consciousness. Its sacred energy makes our minds like temples, and through the sacred energy of the forgiveness temple, humans attain forgiveness.
